In addition to receiving the Austrian Cardiology Award for Basic Research 2024, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Stefan Stojkovic has now been honored as the “Researcher of the Month” by MedUni Vienna in November 2024. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Stefan Stojkovic, PhD began his scientific career as a medical student in the research group of Prof. Dr. Johann Wojta.
Dr. Stojkovic’s research work is presented in detail in a recently published YouTube video. Titled “Proteomic Atlas of Atherosclerosis: The Contribution of Proteoglycans to Sex Differences, Plaque Phenotypes, and Outcomes,” this study represents the largest proteomic analysis of atherosclerotic plaques to date, achieved through an international collaboration.
