It is common to require a heart echocardiogram or carotid ultrasound to rule out an acute heart condition or before undergoing surgery. As these two examinations are often difficult to obtain at short notice, we have decided to offer these examinations for all patients every Wednesday in our practice.
With a proper referral, the echocardiogram is well reimbursed by insurance; without a referral, private billing will be applied (costs €130 for echocardiogram, €90 for carotid ultrasound).
The results will be transmitted to your doctor and/or you on the same day, depending on your preference, via email or post.
