24-hour ECG and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring

The continuous monitoring of heart activity and blood pressure is an essential component of modern medicine. With the help of Holter monitoring (24-hour ECG) and 24-hour blood pressure measurements (ABPM), physicians can gain valuable insights into patients’ heart health and blood pressure patterns.

What is a HOLTER (24-hour ECG)

A Holter monitoring is a special form of ECG (electrocardiogram) in which heart activity is continuously recorded over a 24-hour period. This examination is particularly useful for detecting irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias) that may not always appear in a short ECG.

What is an ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring)?

The 24-hour blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) is a procedure in which a patient’s blood pressure is measured at regular intervals over the course of an entire day. This allows for a detailed analysis of blood pressure patterns, both during the day and at night, and helps in diagnosing and monitoring hypertension (high blood pressure).

Procedure in the CoOrdination

We offer both 24-hour ECG and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. The entire process is designed to be patient-friendly and takes only about 15 minutes.

During the appointment at our practice, the Holter or ABPM device is fitted by our trained staff.

If necessary, both Holter monitoring and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring can be performed simultaneously.

Return and Evaluation

The next day, simply bring the device back to our practice or have it delivered by a courier. The data is then read out and processed by Doz. Stefan Pfaffenberger or Doz. Stefan Stojkovic evaluated. Within a week, you will receive a written report either by email or mail, according to your preference. This medical report includes all relevant information and results from the examination, helping you and your treating physician make further medical decisions.
